Barrie’s Web Marketing Elite Gather to Educate at Free Seminar

(Barrie, ON) May 30 – The Simcoe County Young Professionals Association (SCYPA) will host a search engine optimization (SEO) educational seminar on Wednesday June 1st at the MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie. The session will include lectures by: Chris Adams, Co-Founder & CTO of G-Shift Labs; Mike Hardwicke Brown, Sales Manager at CityDirect.info and Drew Dekker, Vice President & COO of NetGain.

Dekker, also a member of the SCYPA board of directors, is a long-standing member and supporter of various networking associations and educational initiatives, including the Georgian College Web Design & Animation Advisory Board. The trio of speakers will discuss e-business strategy with a focus on global and local SEO to maximize awareness for small and large businesses.

A continental breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m., courtesy of Archive Document Storage, with the presentation to follow and a Q&A session from 8-9 a.m. The seminar is free, but donations are welcomed and will support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Barrie and District sailing program, which sponsors deserving youth to take sailing lessons.
