On Friday, December 6th the Busch Group of Companies made a $10,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross in support of the Typhoon Haiyan victims. This typhoon devastated the Philippines in early November; relief efforts and supplies are still desperately needed. The donation took place at the Busch Group of Companies headquarters on 81 Rawson Avenue in Barrie. On hand for the donation presentation were President and Owner Craig Busch, Executive Vice-President of NetGain Drew Dekker, MP Patrick Brown, MPP Rod Jackson, City Councillor Arif Khan, and Filipino Canadian Association of Barrie Director Elmore Cudanin.
After the Typhoon, Craig Busch encouraged employees to make donations and for every dollar donated the Busch Group of Companies would match ten-to-one. The Canadian Government is also currently matching any donations made one-to-one. This is just one of the many charitable contributions that NetGain and the Busch Group have made this year, with the companies also supporting Barrie Christmas Cheer, and DEKPOR, which helps to establish clean drinking water, educational supplies and schools, and more to a remote city in the Western African nation of Ghana.
